TechDigg is always looking for the most innovative and interesting gadgets this planet has to offer. We don’t want to report on the same ‘ole stuff you can find anywhere. Oh boy, oh boy! We really have a unique gadget to report back to you today. Serafim Tech, is a Taiwanese based company that has created a product called the iKeybo. It is essentially a device that virtually projects a full sized keyboard or piano onto any flat surface.

iKeybo has created a small elongated ‘magic box’ approximately 3 by 2 inches in size that will project either a keyboard or a piano to make typing on your phone more efficient when a full-sized keyboard is not handy. Doing work and Internet browsing on the go can be a bit cumbersome typing on a tiny screen and without a full size keyboard. As a matter of fact, by 2017, 75% of Internet browsing will be done via a smartphone. Thanks to this fancy doohickey, they have taken innovation to a new and virtual level and has made the lives of everyone who uses their phones for most activities, much easier.

How iKeybo works

This device can be activated on any flat surface and can be used with any device with bluetooth connectivity or USB. When you turn on this little box, a laser keyboard is automatically projected onto the surface in front of you. In addition to being the device that projects the actual keyboard, it is also designed to be a cell phone holder, turning your smartphone into a makeshift computer monitor.

The battery can support ten hours of continuous use and also comes with energy-saving modes to extend its usage a little longer if needed. This comes particularly in handy for long trips.

Not only does it project a keyboard, it can also project a piano. This makes traveling with your music a whole lot easier. You no longer need to lug your full sized piano with you as you travel – just kidding! We didn’t think you did that… or at least hope you don’t do that. But, it definitely provides something valuable for musicians or people who just like to play for fun. To activate the virtual piano, you will need to download the music app designed by iKeybo. The configurations in the app will also give the user access to four other instruments.

When the device is not in use, you can use iKeybo as an external battery charger to power your smartphone or tablet. The iKeybo also supports multi-lingual character layouts. This is especially handy if you speak more than one language of course. Currently, you can choose between four different languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese.

Final Conclusion

This device is scheduled to deliver in June 2017, so if you want to be on their early bird list, now is the time. Their Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed their goal of $50,000 and there is still over a month left! It’s obvious this has struck a ‘chord’ and people are going bananas over it.
